Langá is another beautiful medium size river in the West of Iceland. Fishing in Langá has long history, all the way back to the nineteenth century.

Distance from Reykjavík is about 100 km.


The Lodge

The Langá lodge is comfortable with 12 double rooms. The food and service is good and the lodge has a nice view over some of the best pools in the river.


The Fishing & Tackle

A maximum of 5 salmon can be caught every 6 hours. All fish over 70 cm shall be released.

Average total catch for the last 5 years (2010-2014) is 1.722 salmon per year.

Recommended tackle is single-handed rods, 6 to 8 wt., 9 to 10 ft.
